Founded by Vishaal Odhav, a sound engineer in South Africa, VO Productions started with a passion for music and grew into an event and audio post-production company. The company has evolved over the years and has slowly become the ultimate one-stop shop service provider of all things sound, from studio to live events.

We are a service-based business specialising in sound engineering, artist bookings, sound equipment hire and setup, technical consultations and post-production sound. Our skills stretch across the spectrum, making us the best solution to saving time and stress, by having only one touchpoint for your entire project. .

Mixing and mastering

VO Productions offers a professional, fully equipped sound recording studio in Johannesburg, South Africa. While professional equipment and an experienced sound engineer are crucial when mixing and mastering, it is creativity and passion that truly gives music its magic. At VO Productions, we blend the best sound recording studio equipment with creative solutions to add a soulful touch to each piece of audio that we work with. The services we offer include:

Audio Mixing:

 This includes mixing audio tracks/stems for songs, instrumentals, podcasts, advertisements and film.

 Technically, this involves volume balance; EQ; Dynamic Processing (i.e. Compression and Limiting).

Mastering:

 Audio mastering is the final step of audio post-production, getting your audio mix ready for distribution.

 This usually involves the balancing of sonic elements in the stereo mix, maintaining consistency across an album or EP, and the optimizing of playback across all systems and media formats.

 Taking your mix from sounding “good”, to sounding “professional” with our commitment to adhering to top industry standards.

Audio post-production:

 This involves the stages of audio production and editing related to sound synchronized with moving pictures (film, television, and video).

 This may include Sound Design, the creation of Sound Effects, as well recording clear and intelligible Voice Overs.

 We work with agencies and post-production houses to create and master post-production music and audio. Working on soundtracks for feature films, television and commercials.

Live streaming:

 Our live stream studio offers streaming services through platforms including Twitch and YouTube.
